SA 8000 Policy

FIDES CONSULTING SRL, operating in the Information Technology sector, has decided to adopt the requirements of the SA8000:2014 standard and to certify the management system implemented for this purpose, in order to make its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility known to all interested parties.

In particular, FIDES CONSULTING SRL is committed to achieving the following objectives: 

  • Improve workplaces, environmental conditions, and the rights of workers and personnel falling within the organization’s sphere of control and influence; 

  • Ensure full sustainability and compliance with the standard (Social Performance) through continuous improvement; 

  • Respect the international instruments indicated in the standard (Normative Elements and Their Interpretation) and ensure compliance with applicable national, regional, and local regulations, as well as any other subscribed requirements. 

These objectives are pursued through the implementation of the following actions and strategies: 

  • FIDES CONSULTING SRL opposes child labor, forced labor, and compulsory labor in all their forms and implements support policies for its suppliers aimed at removing or improving the conditions of minors engaged in work. The minimum employment age at FIDES CONSULTING SRL is 18 years. New employees are fully integrated through training sessions focused on corporate culture and respect for young people, making them aware that employment at FIDES CONSULTING SRL is intended to support their rights and professional aspirations. 

  • The company culture does not tolerate any form of discrimination based on religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, race, nationality, political opinion, or trade union affiliation. FIDES CONSULTING SRL is committed to developing a community-oriented culture that integrates foreign workers and workers with disabilities, ensuring that they are offered the same opportunities as all other employees. 

  • FIDES CONSULTING SRL operates using state-of-the-art technologies in its sector, and all employees are continuously informed and trained regarding any risks arising from their work activities and the preventive and protective measures adopted by Management in compliance with current occupational health and safety legislation. The nature of the services provided requires a healthy and safe working environment, demanding high standards of personal hygiene, workplace cleanliness, and constant maintenance of work equipment. 

  • Management opposes any form of obligation or coercion imposed on employees by the company. For this reason, no loans are granted to employees, and disciplinary actions are not taken except in cases of serious misconduct and in compliance with applicable laws. Stressful or abusive behavior among employees is not tolerated. Management actively opposes all behaviors that may generate work-related stress. 

  • Employees of FIDES CONSULTING SRL have the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining. They may therefore engage in activities, elect their representatives, and meet to discuss issues concerning working conditions and contractual matters. For this purpose, they may use the common facilities made available by FIDES CONSULTING SRL. Employees may submit their requests directly to the SA8000 Workers’ Representative. 

  • For all employees of FIDES CONSULTING SRL, the provisions of the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for Metalworking SMEs – Confalpi, dated May 26, 2021, are applied. 

  • Management is committed to informing employees of all contractual rights and obligations. Working hours, payslips, leave, holidays, and all other employment conditions are managed in compliance with current legislation. Under no circumstances does the working week exceed 40 hours, in accordance with the currently applicable employment contract. 

  • FIDES CONSULTING SRL has adopted a Social Accountability Management System based on documented procedures designed to develop, monitor, and continuously improve its policies and procedures for implementing the SA8000 standard. The company has established a Social Performance Team (SPT), conducts Management Reviews, maintains records, manages complaints, implements corrective and preventive actions, establishes specific procedures for supplier management, and identifies, assesses, and manages risks related to non-compliance with the standard.

The management of the company’s Social Accountability System is entrusted to the SA8000 Management Representative, freely appointed, whose role is to facilitate communication with Management and monitor the correct application of the requirements established by: 

  • SA8000:2014; 

  • SA8000 Performance Indicators; 

  • The Social Accountability Manual, which includes the policies and procedures for implementing SA8000 for all employees and company suppliers.

 

The representative shall provide unrestricted access to audits conducted by third parties to verify compliance with the requirements set forth in the Manual and in this Policy.

This Policy is displayed on company premises and distributed to all employees and suppliers together with the SA8000 Standard. It is reviewed during Management Review meetings and is made available upon request to interested parties. 

Employees who deem it appropriate may submit complaints outside the organization. In particular, complaints may be submitted to the third-party certification body:
